Nominate a Player

Watertown High School Athletic Hall of Fame
Submitting Nominations

The induction ceremony is held on the second Friday in May during an even numbered year (e.g. 2012).

Thus a call for nominations is sent out in October of the preceding year by postings in the local newspaper and on the internet for nominations to be submitted.

A nominee must have graduated from Watertown High School at least ten years prior to nomination. A nominee can be an individual athlete, a team, a coach or an individual who has contributed to Watertown Athletics.

It is recommended that there be a written summary that outlines the person’s name, sport(s), awards, records, dates or years the sports were played, year the player graduated high school and achievements. It is recommended that you also provide pictures, newspaper articles, coach’s letters and any other items to support the nomination.

Please provide at least 2 copies of the nomination package but do not include original document as the committee does not return the information. The two copies of the nomination package should be sent to:

Watertown High School Athletic Hall of Fame
C/O Bob Kaprielian
320 Mt. Auburn Street
Watertown, MA 02472
Telephone: 617-869-5470

If the candidate is not voted in the first year the nomination is presented, they will typically be considered in future nomination calls. Many players are presented more than once to the committee before they are voted in to the Hall of Fame.
